Technology:		 We embrace Open Source solutions to provide an alternative to paid for software applications. Our test lab is constantly at work to make sure that we can effectively replace an existing client system with new and fresh platforms to help run their business. We are passionate about the many exciting developments happening in Open Source and although many clients may be reluctant to change at first we have quickly put them at ease with working examples, demo platforms, client testimonials and our general enthuausiam.
 
Web: Advanced content management with Drupal or smaller blogging sites (like the one you are reading) using WordPress. We aren’t re-inventing the wheel here (see development below), we are just keeping thing simple. Intelligenta are experts in building branded themes for both products and can provide a quick and easy deployment for your organisation in a matter of days. Setup costs are low and hosted for a set monthly fee that includes support, maintenance and backup.
 
Messaging and Collaboration: We’ve been using Zimbra in-house for over 18 months and have recently replaced Exchange now with several clients. Zimbra is open source server and client software for messaging and collaboration – email, group calendaring, contacts and web document management. Compatible with all major email clients, mobile plugins and now a Blackberry Enterprise Server connector make this a serious contender.
 
Development: With over 15 years of development experience, initially using Perl, Java, ASP, PHP, .NET and now Ruby on Rails we can bespoke develop almost anything required. We are particuarly excited about Rails and the rapid development of web applications it enables. Most of our future development project will be created using Rails, we’ve just got to get a little more advanced at it.
 
Disaster Recovery: Currently in development our own solution will provide the confidence through total transparency unlike other offsite backup services. A belt and braces approach will make sure that in the event of complete or partial data loss our clients will be up and running with the timescale they require. What this space….
